Fractured Fairy Tales
Step 1:
Today we are going to begin creating a Fractured Fairy Tale, with a partner. Using Google Documents, you will both edit one document at the same time. This can be tricky as you will soon see; you can't be on the same line at one time and sometimes people delete each other's work! Remember your netiquette when working collaboratively with a partner...

Step 2:
You and a partner will work together to change the fairy tale into a new story.
There are lots of ways to change a fairy tale:
- Change or swap the roles of the main characters.
- Have the story take place somewhere else
- Have the story take place in another time period.
- Tell the story from a different character’s point of view
- Make the problem of the story different
- Change an important item in the story
- You can even change the end of the story - maybe they don’t live “happily ever after”.
- After clicking on the template, have one person in your group select File -> Make a Copy.
- Then have that person Share it with the other(s) in your group.
Begin filling out the template to plan your fairy tale and then write your fairy tale.
